What I think I admire about Morticia and Gomez is that they were never hesitant about telling each other how they felt. They never shied away from the truth of it, whatever it was — and in their case, it was an intense, sometimes-violent passion. They were frank with each other about it, able to look each other dead in the eyes and admit it. Frank with everyone else, too. No hesitancy, no embarrassment, no guilt, none of that. Instead of shying from their passion they built a marriage and a family upon it, and I respect that tremendously.
